À la Carte Class "Menu"

Aletheia's schedule is now open to students from the community, of all grade levels. Some restrictions and exceptions apply, so please take the time to carefully examine the class lists below, as guidelines may be slightly different per grade.

General Guidelines

Each class is capped at eight students. Any class that has already reached capacity will be marked (full), though a waiting list will be kept for all such classes. We request that anyone interested in a (full) class send an e-mail to indicate their desire to enroll. A communication will be sent to confirm that interest and subsequently to announce any new classes being formed. If a new class is going to be formed, it will occur by the second full week of school.

✓ This mark indicates a class that is only available for À la Carte registration in the Fall. Due to the comprehensive nature of the subject matter, it would be difficult for new students to join these classes once the school year is underway. However, exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.

If there are five additional students on a waiting list for one class, arrangements might be made to create another class for those students. If an additional ✓ class has not been formed by the second week of school, Aletheia will consider starting a new ✓ class at mid-semester, provided there are still at least five students interested.

We will offer Riggs to anyone, including adults, who want to learn how to read. There will be strict requirements including background checks for any adult spending time at the school who is not already a parent or volunteer.

Payment and Fees

A non-refundable registration fee of $25 per student (not per class or per family) is due with the first monthly payment.

Payment must be made by check. Payment for students from the same family may be combined into one check. Please make checks payable to "Aletheia". Payments may be dropped off at the tuition box in the Aletheia office, or be sent to:

Payment for individual classes will be due on the fifteenth (15th) of the previous month. A 10% late fee will be applied to payments after this date. (E.g., if you were to owe $100 to Aletheia each month, and your payment is late, the amount owed would be $110.)

All class prices include materials, with the exception of literature classes when individual books may need to be purchased or procured from the library.

The registration deadline for the fall semester is August 15, 2011. The registration deadline for the spring semester is December 15, 2012.
